Overview
Survivors UK is a charity providing web chat and SMS Text chat services by trained professionals, for men who have experienced male rape and sexual abuse.
How to Access this Service
Online self-referral at www.survivorsuk.org. You can also contact our helpline service by email at [email protected], by text to 020 3322 1860 and they can help fill out the referral.
When/Where?
Individual counselling – 1:1 counselling sessions with a trauma-informed counsellor. Online and over the phone
Group work – group therapy for survivors to share experiences, connect and heal together, with an experienced group facilitator. Held online
ISVA – Independent Sexual Advisors can offer practical and emotional support about navigating the criminal justice system to any survivor who has reported to the police, or is thinking about reporting to the police. Offered to any survivor currently residing in London, or where the crime took place in London
National Online Male Survivors Helpline – Confidential, emotional support chat with an experienced emotional support worker. Open 12-8PM, seven days a week (excluding bank holidays)
Who is it for?
Male and non-binary people in the UK, aged 13+ who have experienced rape, sexual abuse, or any form of unwanted sexual activity at any time in their lives. We support Trans people who feel we are the right service for them.
Our counselling, group work and helpline service are offered nationally. Our ISVA service supports survivors living in any London borough, or if the crime occurred in London.
We are also here for friends and family who are supporting a survivor in their life.
