The Motherkind Café

Overview

The Motherkind Café is a volunteer-run, community perinatal support group for mums and pregnant women who are struggling with their mental health or finding it tough for any reason. It is free to attend. They provide a safe, welcoming space for women to talk honestly and openly about their experience of motherhood both with other mums, and to their trained peer-supporters, many of whom have their own lived experience of a perinatal mental health condition.

How to Access this Service

No referral needed. The sessions are every Friday at Flo’s, 10.15 – 11.45am. You can get in touch with them via facebook or by email.

When/Where?

Relaxed, informal group to talk about your mental health and wellbeing, with other women and volunteer peer supporters. Refreshments for grown ups, toys and mats for small visitors.
Monthly walks and discussion groups, sometimes with external practitioners.

Who is it for?

The Motherkind Café welcomes women at all stages of motherhood from pregnancy up until their children at school who live in Oxfordshire.
You can bring your baby to a session, and they are best suited to babies under 1, although older children are welcome too.
