They are one of 43 Active Partnerships in the country and help people in the most need by working with partners to increase physical activity. Using their local understanding Active Oxfordshire supports and responds to local needs. They focus their efforts on targeting inactive people and under-represented groups who will benefit most from an active lifestyle.

Active Oxfordshire are the backbone of promoting physical activity, broker relationships, empower partners and facilitate support across the county to encourage physical activity and sporting communities whilst also focusing on reducing physical inactivity in Oxfordshire.
They are fully committed to local initiatives and campaigns for health and well-being, Children and Young people, Older people, Workforce and placed-based inactivity. Physical activity is a powerful commodity that can reduce the burden of preventable death, disease and disability and support people and their communities to achieve their potential.
