Oxford University Museums and Collections (OUMC)

There are seven Oxford University Museums and Collections (OUMC), and each is an individual department of the University. Although they are largely separate organisations which differ in size, content, character, and infrastructure, they benefit from working together in many areas, as well as in partnership with external organisations. OUMC has a strong outreach and education programme which is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Oxford University Museums and Collections aim is to work effectively with local schools to improve educational outcomes. The Oxford Education Deanery facilitates the continuing professional development of teachers at all career stages in local schools by engaging them in research and providing various training courses.
